Even if you can’t spend the whole weekend on the Bot Riviera you’ll still be in for a treat if you do a day trip. It’s only a 75 minute drive from Cape Town so there are NO excuses!!!

Demons, icons and big surprises at Encounters 2011

International Documentary Film Festival in South AfricaThe 13th Encounters South African International Documentary Festival returns to Cape Town and Johannesburg from 9-26 June 2011. This year’s selection has all the hallmarks of an edgy teenager, like a fascination with sex (G-Spotting), celebrity (Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, a winner at Sundance in 2010 last year), rebellion (LennonNYC), and injustice (Black Power Mixtape, a winner at Sundance in 2011).

Opening up the world to South Africans each year, Encounters is widely acclaimed as Africa’s most prestigious documentary festival. Glitterboys and Ganglands…and Genevieve MCC

Genevieve MCC is delighted to be sponsoring the World Premiere function of ‘Glitterboys and Ganglands’ at The 13th Encounters South African International Documentary Festival.

‘Glitterboys and Ganglands’ is about South Africa’s biggest female impersonation beauty pageant. It is irreverent, fun, glamorous, hard-hitting and ultimately a feel-good film about acceptance and tolerance.

Art at the Literary Festival Franschhoek 2011

Bubbly maker, Melissa Nelsen, is delighted that her Genevieve MCC has been selected as THE sparkling wine to be served at the pre-launch of artist Paul du Toit’s exhibition at the Franschhoek Literary Festival.

“Future Primeval” brings art to the 5th Literary Festival in Franschhoek. The exhibition is being held at The Yard, 38 Huguenote Street, Franschhoek from the 14th May -12th June 2011.
