Abigail Betz
Abigail Betz believes that fashion is “our silent means of expression”. She is fast becoming South Africa’s couture queen with her stunning, innovative dresses and wedding gowns.
Abigail’s latest collection made its first appearance in Paris this year, introducing the international fashion community to her romantic, feminine designs that are epitomized by their strong lines, rich textures and exquisite detail.
I’m sure it is impossible to not feel like a princess in one of Abigail’s gowns.
Lisp
Lisp is inspired by the youthful spirit of Rock ‘n Roll. The daring confident designs will have you looking, and feeling, like the rock star you are.
Lisp is the creation of Cape Town based designer, Oriel Barnard, whose influences include music icons, youth culture, the 70’s, glamour and grunge.
Word has it that the image of girls in feminine dresses with worn out boots has enthused Oriel’s designs for Spring/Summer.
Lalesso
Lalesso was launched in 2007 by young Cape Town designers Alice Heusser and Olivia Kennaway.
The brand has grown phenomenally in a very short time and promises to be a fashion force to be reckoned with. Already the brand has concession space at the famous Oxford Circus Topshop in London, been featured at two fashion shows at Pret a Porter in Paris, made it through to the final round for the New Generation Show at London Fashion Week and had celebrities like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller wearing their garments.
It is exclusively a summer and lifestyle clothing brand that is one of the first totally carbon zero fashion brands in the world. Garments are vibrant, care-free and comfortable. Roll on summer!
